Türkiye’de Yer Adları Bilimi Hakkında Yapılmış Çalışmalar Üzerine Kaynakça Denemesi

Abstract

There are two processes in the realization of a scientific study: preparation and writing. The realization of the writing process is only possible with a solid preparatory work. The literature review, which constitutes the preparatory phase, is important in the creation of the relevant study. Bibliography studies provide many benefits and convenience to researchers in this context. In this study, it is aimed to create a bibliography on the science of place names, which is a wide field of the science of names. The study consists of introduction, general information about toponymy, related sources and conclusion. The science of place names is a field that has found its place in different disciplines in terms of addressing many disciplines. In the study, the sources in the field of language-linguistics were mostly included and a limitation was made by making use of the studies conducted in Turkey. The inclusion of Undergraduate Graduation Theses and Theses in the Preparatory Phase of the Department of Turkology constitutes the aspect of the study that differs from other existing studies. Sources are categorized under four headings: books, theses, articles and papers. In the study, it is seen that the highest number of sources are articles, theses, papers and books. The study was carried out with the idea that it will benefit the researchers who will work on the Science of Place Names and the field of Turkology.
