Abstract
The aim of Turkish lessons is to train individuals who have developed basic language skills, can understand what they listen and read correctly and fully, and who can effectively convey their feelings and thoughts verbally or in writing. Reading is one of the most commonly used language skills. For years, the focus has been on the behavioral dimension of reading. However, affective factors such as attitude, anxiety, interest, motivation and self-efficacy also have a significant effect on reading. Therefore, in the process of creating a successful reading experience and raising qualified readers, it is necessary to consider the psychological factors affecting reading. The aim of this study is to explain the subject of reading psychology by using the concepts of attitude, interest, motivation, anxiety, and self-efficacy.
