Korkut Ata Türkiyat Araştırmaları Dergisi

Abstract

The climate crisis is a global threat that is being considered and solutions are being sought in political, social and economic dimensions, in addition to its environmental dimension. The United Nations Development Program has five main development goals that it particularly focuses on. These are democratic governance, climate, environment and energy, HIV, crisis prevention and recovery, and poverty reduction. The development areas that Turkey prioritizes consist of three headings such as climate, environment and energy, democratic governance and poverty reduction. In recent times when environmental disasters such as climate crisis, water, drought, floods and forest fires, the effects of which have been intensely seen in Turkey, have been experienced, X (Twitter) accounts of environmental non-governmental organizations that are in communication with the target audience were examined. All tweets made on the X application between January 2024 and December 2024 were examined, and the themes addressed by the NGOs were revealed. As a result of the research; It was observed that the subject sharing of climate and environmental NGOs in 2024 will be 7 main themes. It was determined that the topics addressed by the NGOs were; biodiversity, climate, sustainability, environment, other, information, and social responsibility
