Hz. Dâvud Kıssasının Kusûrî’ye Ait Yeni Bir Anlatısı ve Bu Hikâyenin Mesnevî Bağlamında Mukayeseli İncelemesi

Ozet

The Qur'an, the hadiths, the stories of the prophets, Sufism, and Arabic and Persian literatures are the fundamental sources of Turkish Islamic literature. Among these, the stories of the prophets have a wide impact both in didactic prose works and in poetry. In addition to the accounts of Prophet Dawud mentioned in the Qur'an, there is also a story about him in Rumi's Masnawi. This story narrates the story of a man who, during the time of Prophet Dawud, prays to God day and night for lawful sustenance without hardship. After years of praying, he slaughters and eats a cow that enters his home, leading to a trial over this action in which Prophet David serves as judge. This story was also written by Kusuri, an 18th-century poet from Antep. In Kusuri’s version, unlike in the Masnawi, metaphors from both the eras of Prophet Moses and Prophet Dawud are intertwined. At the end of the poem, the poet states that he translated the story, originally written in Persian prose, into Turkish verse. This suggests the possibility of another version of this story in Persian prose outside of the Masnawi. The poetic story discussed in the article is included in a manuscript cataloged under inventory number 001290 in the Rare Works Collection of the Atatürk Library. The poem, titled Hikayet-i Garibe, is found on folios 109b–111a of the manuscript. In this article, the language, style, and content of Hikayet-i Garibe are analyzed and compared with the story in the Masnawi. For the purpose of comparison, A. Avni Konuk’s Mesnevî-i Şerîf Şerhi was used, as it offers an interpretive perspective distinct from classical translations and commentaries of the Masnawi.

Abstract

Kur’ân-ı Kerîm, hadîs-i şerîfler, peygamber kıssaları, tasavvuf, Arap ve İran edebiyatları Türk İslam edebiyatının temel kaynaklarındandır. Bunlar arasında peygamber kıssaları gerek didaktik mensur eserler gerekse şiir sahasında geniş bir etki alanına sahiptir. Kur’ân’da Hz. Dâvud ile ilgili zikredilen kıssaların yanında Hz. Mevlânâ’nın Mesnevî’sinde de bir kıssa bulunmaktadır. Bu kıssa Dâvud Aleyhisselam zamanında Allah’a gece gündüz meşakkatsiz helal rızık için dua eden bir adamın hikâyesini konu edinmektedir. Yıllarca bu şekilde dua eden adamın evinin kapısından giren ineği kesip yemesi üzerine görülen dava ve Hz. Dâvud’un hâkimliğini anlatan bu kıssa 18. yüzyılın Antepli divan şairi Kusûrî tarafından da kaleme alınmıştır. Kusûrî’nin kaleme aldığı bu versiyonda, Mesnevî'den farklı olarak, hem Hz. Musa hem de Hz. Dâvud dönemine ait metaforlar bir arada kullanılmıştır. Şair, şiirinin sonunda Farsça mensur olarak yazılan hikâyeyi manzum olarak Türkçeye tercüme ettiğini belirtmiştir. Bu durum aynı konulu hikâyenin Mesnevî dışında da Farsça ve mensur bir versiyonunun daha bulunabileceği ihtimalini düşündürmektedir. Makaleye konu edilen manzum hikâye, Atatürk Kitaplığı Nadir Eserler Bölümü’nde 001290 demirbaş numarası ile kayıtlı olan mecmuanın içinde yer almaktadır. Eserin 109b-111a varakları arasında yer alan şiir “ Hikâyet-i Garîbe” başlığı ile yazılmıştır. Makalede “ Hikâyet-i Garîbe”nin dil, üslup ve muhteva özellikleri incelenmiş; Mesnevî’deki kıssa ile mukayesesi yapılmıştır. Mukayese için klasik Mesnevî tercüme ve şerhlerinden farklı olarak bir tefsir örneği de sergiliyor olması bakımından A. Avni Konuk’un Mesnevî-i Şerîf Şerhi’nden yararlanılmıştır.
